Add a rule to a property tax law

This part of the guide explains how to add a rule to a property tax law.

Once the rule has been associated to the property tax law, it is displayed on the List of Tax Rules page (506:2013).

Step 1 - Go to the page List of Tax Laws

1. Go to the Property Tax module;
2. Choose the Tax Laws menu. This action opens the List of Tax Laws page (506:2012);
   

Step 2 - Add a rule to a property tax law

3. Find the property tax law for which you want to add a rule;
4. Click the hyperlink of the Law Reference Name subject of the request. This action opens the Tax Law page (506:2007);
5. Go to the Rules section
6. Click the Create button. This action opens the pop-up window Law/Tax Rule;
7. Go to the Rule section;
8. Fill out the required fields (identified by a red asterisk *). For example, Code. This action makes it possible to update the pop-up window and to add sections to detail the rule;
9. Go to the Details section;
10. Fill out the required fields (identified by a red asterisk *). For example, Start Date, Rule Description, etc.;
11. Go to the Criteria section;
12. Check the necessary boxes;
13. Click the Save button. This action confirms the addition of the rule and updates the Tax Law page (506:2007).
