Create a tax form

This part of the guide explains how to create a tax form. It also indicates how to link a form version and a letter template (notice of assessment, notice of reassessment, etc.) to the tax form.

The creation of a tax form is completed when a version and a template has been associated. Once the tax form has been created, the version added and the template completed, SIGTAS updates the Tax Form page (509:1004) and displays versions and letter templates. SIGTAS allows the administrator to translate tax forms into the local language of his choice. When this is the case, a dynamic icon, located to the right of the field to be translated, indicates that a translation is possible. For further instructions, click on the following link: Translate from the Translation popup window.

Step 1 - Go to the page List of Tax Forms

  1. Go to the Administration module;
  2. Choose the Operations option;
  3. Select the Forms option;
  4. Click the Tax Forms menu. This action opens the List of Tax Forms page (509:2235);

Step 2 - Create a tax form

  1. Click the Create button. This action opens the Tax Form page (509:1004);
  2. Go to the Tax Form section;
  3. Fill out the required fields (identified by a red asterisk *). For example, Form No, Tax Type, etc.;
  4. Click the Save button. This action confirms the creation of the tax form and displays the Form Versions section;

Step - 3 - Create a form version

  1. Go to the Form Version section;
  2. Click the Create button. This action opens the Form Version page (509:3084);
  3. Fill out the required fields (identified by a red asterisk *). For example, Revision Date, Effective Date, etc.;
  4. Click the Save button. This action confirms the creation of the form version and displays the section linking an assessment to the form;

Step 4 - Link an assessment to the form

  1. Go to the Assessment Notices section;
  2. Click the Create button. This action opens the Add a Form Layer section;
  3. Fill out the required fields (identified by a red asterisk *). For example, Letter No, etc.;
  4. Click the Save button. This action links the assessment to the form version and updates the Form Version page (509:3084).
