Document types - Configuration details

This page displays configuration details about creating a document type.

Type Name Details
Display Field No. The number automatically assigned to the document type entry by SIGTAS.
Display Field Document Type Lists the valid types of documents produced and accepted by the system.
Display Field Tax Type Specifies the type of tax to which this document type is linked.
Checkbox Document Approval A selected check box indicates that this type of document requires approval.

Checkbox Certificate If checked, then this type of document is a certificate.

Checkbox Motor Vehicle Sticker If checked, then this document is a sticker to be applied on a motor vehicle.

Checkbox Is Prop Exemption A selected check box indicates that this document is used for a property exemption.

Checkbox Is Payment Document A selected check box indicates that the document can be used as a payment document. The appropriate code, as entered in the Document Code field of the Tax Type (509:1001) page, should be added as a prefix to the document number on any printed documents of the indicated type. Also, a check-digit is appended to the resulting 15-character identifier.

Checkbox Val To Print A selected check box indicates that this type of document requires validation by SIGTAS before it can be printed.

Checkbox Can Be Exempted A selected check box indicates that the business activity exemption applies for the selected certificate.

Checkbox Send To eFiling If checked it indicates that this Document Type can be sent to eTax.

Checkbox For Project Exemption If checked, this Document Type can be used for exempted/exonerated projects.

Display Field Experation Date Displays the date after which the Document Type can no longer be applied.
Display Field Validity Period in Months The validity period (expressed in number of months) for this document type.
Display Field Exemption Letter Allows the user to select a letter to be automatically generated if the taxpayer is exempted from the selected certificate.
A value can be selected in this field only if the check box Can be exempted is selected in which case this field becomes mandatory. Following the selection, the letter number is displayed in this field.
Button Create A click on this button opens the popup window Document Type (509:15111) allowing to add a new document type.

Type Name Details
Field Document Type A free text to enter a unique and valid type of documents produced and accepted by the system.
The first 99 values and those greater than 799 are reserved by the system and cannot not be changed or deleted.
This list provides an LOV for the Document Type field of the Document (510:2001) page.
A click on the dynamic icon redirects the user to the page Translations (509:50000) to add/modify the translation of the Document Type in the languages defined by the rule 88 « LANGUAGES_TO_DISPLAY » in the page General Rules (509:3030).
Mandatory
LOV Tax type Specifies the type of tax to which this document type is linked. Specifies the type of tax to which this document type is linked.
A LOV is available from the List of Tax Types page (509:2231) for selection.
Checkbox Document Approval If selected, then this type of document requires approval.
Checkbox Certificate If checked, then this type of document is a certificate.
This check box cannot be unchecked while Validity Period in Months is not null. Trying to deselect it, the system raises the following warning message: "You must remove before your validity period".
Checkbox Motor Vehicle Sticker If checked, then this document is a sticker to be applied on a motor vehicle.
Checkbox Is Duplicata If checked, then this document is a duplicate.
Checkbox Is Transfer Property If checked, then this document is used for a property transfer.
Checkbox Is Prop Exemption A selected check box indicates that this document is used for a property exemption.
Checkbox Is Payment Document A selected check box indicates that the document can be used as a payment document. Checkbox Can Be Exempted A selected check box indicates that the business activity exemption applies for the selected certificate.This check box can only be selected for documents designated as certificates (in other words having the Certificate flag selected).
Refer to the field Validate of the screen Create/Print Application Form (TR310S) for the validation logic.
Validation rules:
(1) This checkbox cannot be selected while Certificate flag is unchecked. Trying to select it, the system raises the following warning message: "This is not a document of type certificate".
(2) If checked, then the field Exemption Letter should have some value, otherwise the error message is raised - 5601 "The field Exemption Letter is mandatory. Please enter a value."
Checkbox Send To eFiling If checked it indicates that this Document Type can be sent to eTax.
Checkbox For Project Exemption If checked, this Document Type can be used for exempted/exonerated projects.
LOV Expiration Date Displays the date after which the Document Type can no longer be applied.
A LOV is available for selection.
Field Vaidity Period In Months The validity period (expressed in number of months) for this document type.
Enabled and required only if the value "Validity Period in Months" has been selected in Expiration Date field.
Manually captured.
LOV Exemption Letter Allows the user to select a letter to be automatically generated if the taxpayer is exempted from the selected certificate.
A LOV is available for selection.
Possible values:
(1) Notice of Rejection – Title;
(2) Another Notice of Rejection – Title;
(3) Another Remittance Letter.
Validation rules:
(1) A value can be selected in this field only if the check box Can be exempted is selected in which case this field becomes mandatory. Following the selection, the letter number is displayed in this field.
(2) If the Can Be Exempted flag is unchecked, then the field Exemption Letter is reset to null.
Button Delete Deletes a document type.
Available only while consulting an existing type.
Validation rules:
It is not allowed to delete a document type if a document of this type has already been created.
Button Save Saves the document type information, closes the popup window Document Type (509:15111) and redirects the user to the page Document Types (509:15110) which will be refreshed with the new line.
Button Save and create Saves the document type information, keeps the user on the same window and clears all fields in order to be able to capture a new type.
