Suspend the account of a tax officer
This part of the guide explains how to suspend the account of a tax officer, for example in case of extended leave.
As soon the tax officer has been suspended, they lose access to their account. A warning message is displayed when logging in, informing them the account has been suspended. To reactivate the tax officer account, uncheck the Suspend Account box.
Please note the following:
- It is possible to recreate a tax officer once unsubscribed, in order to re-register an employee which may have been unsubscribed by mistake.
- Two active (subscribed) tax officers with the same SIGTAS username cannot coexist.
- Distinct fields for SIGTAS employee ID and eServices username are used. The eServices username will be suggested as the SIGTAS username but it can be edited to still create the user if the username already exists.
To suspend the account of a tax officer:
- Click the Tax officers menu. This action opens the List of the Tax Officers page;
- Go to the Search field and fill out the requested information. If you do not know the full name of the tax officer, enter the first two or three letters. You can also use the same procedure for the email address or tax centre;
- Click the Magnifying glass icon. This action calls up items on the screen;
- Use the rightward or the leftward arrow to display items on the screen;
- Click the Edit button of the tax officer subject of the request. This action opens the page Tax Officers Details;
- Check the Suspend Account box;
- Click the Save button. This action confirms the suspension of the tax officer and redirects you to the List of Tax Officers page.
